Production - Supervisor

Supervise and manage all activities within the finishing department

Ensure the finishing process (cutting, trimming, sealing, labeling, etc.) meets company standards and customer specifications.

Monitor and control production flow to meet quality and productivity targets.

Lead, mentor, and train a team of operators and technicians, ensuring they have the necessary skills and tools to perform their tasks effectively.

Organize and assign tasks based on production requirements and team capabilities.

Ensure team members follow company policies, safety procedures, and work instructions.

Implement and monitor quality control procedures to ensure that finished products meet the required standards.

Conduct regular inspections of finished products and materials to detect any defects or deviations from specifications.

Resolve quality issues promptly and suggest improvements to prevent reoccurrence.

Ensure all finishing equipment is functioning properly and efficiently. Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs.

Collaborate with the maintenance department to conduct regular preventive maintenance checks.

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to equipment, materials, or processes.

Ensure that materials needed for the finishing process are available and correctly stored.

Monitor inventory levels and work closely with the supply chain team to ensure timely availability of materials.

TReport any material shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the appropriate departments.

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in line with company safety standards and local regulations.

Conduct regular safety audits and training sessions to promote safe working practices.

Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations in all finishing processes.

Continuously assess and suggest improvements to the finishing process to optimize productivity, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.

Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising product quality.

Work with cross-functional teams to implement lean manufacturing techniques and improve overall workflow.

Maintain accurate records of production logs, quality control checks, and any incidents or issues during the finishing process.

Prepare and submit daily/weekly production reports to management regarding progress, efficiency, and any challenges faced.

Ensure proper documentation is maintained for compliance and audit purposes.
